Viereck was founded by Deborah Viereck with a goal of fusing premium fabrication, exquisite fit and flattering silhouettes. Deborah describes her design aesthetic as"ultimately vampire meets sex and cupcakes." Her sense of style is edgy yet feminine. This sense of style stems from her prior background in costume design where she designed costumes for Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction and Gwen Stefani. Deborah describes her process and style and says she "constructs her garments with a customer's flair for the dramatic and a rock star sensibility."
